Me & Feather Love

Have you ever seen a photograph that literally made you stop breathing for a few seconds? Or made your heart pound like crazy? Or just plain old made your heart stop?

The artist who does this for me is Noa Azoulay-Sclater and she’s the force of nature behind Feather Love Photography in California. And I’m hopping on a plane in September to spend a day with her at her first Artist’s Workshop.

Noa’s an artist extraordinaire and I follow her work religiously. Feather Love IS my religion. There’s a certain “something” about each and every one of her images that’s hard to describe in one word. Dreamy, ethereal, edgy, delicious, muddy, glowy, ravishing, enchanting, groovy, bewitching, elegant, and simple, really. I suppose I could go on, but I’m sure you get the point. Noa’s photographs just do it for me.

She’s a rock star. And I get to spend a day with her.

When I look at Noa’s pictures there’s a song by Neil Young that goes through my head that could easily have been written for her. It goes like this:

Hey hey, my my / Rock and roll can never die

There’s more to the picture / Than meets the eye / Hey hey, my my.

So here’s the gorgeous Noa Azoulay-Sclater and her work. Will Feather Love become your religion?

Check out Noa’s blog for more hippie goodness. I can’t wait to meet her. I think I’m going to wear a flower in my hair…
