Jen & Leah

I loved everything about this wedding so much that I could rave about it forever.

One of the aspects that made it so special was that all of the wedding details were created by Jen & Leah, from the decorations, the flowers arrangements, the walls filled with old family photos, etc., etc., etc. Leah even made her own hair piece, which I loved. The historic Algonquin Clubhouse on Toronto Island was such a wonderfully cozy venue, and I really think Jen & Leah’s personal touch made it even more so.

This was also the first time I hired my daughter Tatiana to assist me by shooting some funky Super 8 digital video footage. Tatiana did a really great job (see the video here) and she was also a lot of fun to work with, so big kiss to you Tat!

Jen & Leah, thank you so much for making us part of your day – we had an amazing time and felt so incredibly welcome, like we were part of your family. xoxo

Here are a few quick details and then let’s get to the pics….

I did this on purpose, just couldn’t resist. Sorry Jen… ;)
Love this spontaneous shot of Jen and her Mom. Didn’t realize at the time though that the bush behind Jen made her look like she had some sort of feathery tribal head piece goin’ on. Sorry again Jen…honest, I didn’t do this one on purpose!
Leah and her childhood friends.
And here’s Jen and one of her childhood friends.
Tatiana’s got that Austin Powers look going on here. Check out that eyebrow!
LOVE this shot of one of the teeniest guests and her Mama.
Love this one too, a completely candid moment before the guests arrived.
More of this little guy coming up.
This little one had the most amazing blushy cheeks, so cute!
Heartfelt speeches, this image says it all.

This sweet little cake was made with a ton of love by Jen & Leah’s good friends Kathy & Elaine. Even the marshmallows were homemade. And how much did I love the topper? Tons.

I couldn’t get enough of this little guy’s expressions!!
And I couldn’t resist taking a pic of the little guy’s Mom’s tattoo – a tribute to her son. So gorgeous.
One must always do calisthenics at a wedding to improve both muscular and cardio fitness…
Tatiana on much deserved break.
After packing up to get ready to meet the water taxi, I couldn’t resist pulling one of the cameras back out of the bag for a shot of the Toronto skyline. A perfect ending to a wonderful day.
